I saw an article last week on Substack that offers a great example of why the allure of writing with the help of AI is so intoxicating. Everyone thinks the AI is “helping” them or “enhancing” their writing. But that simply isn’t the case.
In this video I take a tough stance against the “author” of that piece:
No matter how hard you try to convince yourself otherwise, that you really did write that piece, the AI is doing a lot of the heavy lifting for you. And that means you are not the sole author. And I would hesitate in even calling you an author at all.
