A recent study emerged on how college students are using AI platforms to either enhance their learning or to automate school tasks. The author compares his findings, favorably, to similar research by an AI company.
But a closer look at the data reveals some questionable conclusions. I explain my interpretation of the info here and continue to wonder how long we will continue down this path of believing the fantasy that students are actually getting more intelligent by using AI.
